SAIA [ sigh-ah ], of Tongan origin, is a shortened form of Sosaia, the Tongan form of Josiah, meaning “God supports” or “God heals.” The name is also associated with ideas of blessing and gift, carrying a sense of divine favour, protection and restoration.

Introducing our royal blue mini dress, designed around the unexpected. From the front, a clean, understated silhouette keeps things intentionally simple. Turn around and the dress transforms, revealing a dramatic deep plunge that falls low across the back.

Each dress is individually hand-stitched to create its softly gathered finish, the lightweight fabric drapes effortlessly over the body. The relaxed mini silhouette keeps the focus on the contrast between the simplicity of the front and the statement-making open back.

Wear it alone with heels for an evening look, or style it as a top over your favourite jeans or trousers for an entirely different take. However you choose to wear it, the piece is designed to be made your own.

Designed for a close, figure-hugging fit.

ⴰ This dress is designed to fit closely through the body with soft draping and gathering throughout.
ⴰ The fabric has no stretch, so we recommend choosing your usual size and sizing up if you are between sizes.
ⴰ Concealed side zip fastening, finished with a hook-and-eye closure.
ⴰ Mini length.
ⴰ Fully lined in blue for additional coverage.
ⴰ Due to the lightweight nature of both the main fabric and lining, we recommend wearing nude, seamless underwear underneath.
ⴰ The deep-plunge back is intentionally cut low. We recommend styling with a backless or adhesive bra where additional support is desired.

About the Fabric

Lightweight and fluid, the main fabric was selected for its ability to hold the intricate gathering while maintaining softness and movement. Its airy quality creates an effortless drape, allowing the simplicity of the front and dramatic plunging back to remain the focus.

CARE

Dry clean recommended to preserve the fabric’s drape and finish. For added longevity, the garment may also be gently hand washed in cold water.

Please note: Due to the delicate nature of the fabric, avoid contact with rough surfaces and jewellery, as the fabric may snag.
